Below is the proposed organization for the ELNA site.
We propose a static site for fundamental information about the organization and a separate dynamic site that could provide forums and other resources for community, collaboration, and organization. Eventually, depending on participation, the dynamic site might come to supplant the static site. The description below deals with the static site.
Structure
A row of tabs along the top would bring up pages for each of the audience pages. The site template and navigation links along the left would remain the same and each page would provide a presentation of documents at the site organized according to the needs of that population.
Audiences -- Top
Public (Publiko) -- ELNA.Public
- This page should be the Homepage (and the rest of the pages in the regular site).
Members (Membroj) -- ELNA.Members
- Member services, Find other members, Find local groups
Board (Estraro) -- ELNA.Board
- coordinate meetings and discussion (should be on dynamic site?)
Activists (Aktivuloj) -- ELNA.Activists
- Posters? Guide to creating local groups?
Youth (Junularo) -- ELNA.Youth
- link to a page describing our affiliation with USEJ
Section Headings -- Left
Below is the list of currently created pages.
- Home (Hejmo) index.php -- ELNA.Homepage
- ELNA is... (Pri ELNA) about.php -- ELNA.AboutELNA
Esperanto is... (Esperanto estas) esperanto.php ELNA.Esperanto
- about Esperanto (maybe with specific notes about learning/using in the U.S.)
- Learn Esperanto (Lernu Esperanton) learn.php -- ELNA.LearnEsperanto
- News/Newsletter (novajxo/novajxletero) esperanto-usa.php -- ELNA.EsperantoUSA
- Calendar (Kalendaro) -- ELNA.Calendar
- Bookstore (Libroservo) -- ELNA.Bookstore
- Join ELNA (Aniĝu je ELNA) -- ELNA.Join
- Local Groups (Lokaj Grupoj) groups.php -- ELNA.LocalGroups
- Contact Us (Kontaktu Nin) contact-us.php -- ELNA.ContactUs
((The two sets of tabs confused me (as you saw from the email) so it may confuse others. Perhaps we need a note for each set of tabs, "General Information" (yech! needs rewording) and "Specific Audiences" (yech! etc). dw))
Now we need to move the information components below up into the documents above and then rewrite the documents.
