PGG Fundraising Meeting on 10-17-05
A special PGG Meeting was held to discuss fundraising and set goals and plans for the year.
Attending: Sharon Vardatira (Facilitator), Tracy Lee Boutilier, Alisa Brewer, Dan Kramer, Debbie Timberlake (Notes), La Vonette Luciano-Burnett, and Jenny Boyd.
Current PGG Fund is $7,500.

Ideas for Fund Raising: Family Photos, Cookbook, Raffle, Karaoke Night, Car Wash/Detailing, Swim a thon, Pool Party @MS under LSSE, Ice Skating at the Mullins Center, Babysitting Night, Spaghetti Supper and Raffle/ Silent Auction of Goods and Services, Fair/Carnival, Maple Syrup from the North Hadley Sugar Shack, Atkins Farms 5% credit, Movie Night, “Animal Insurance” (pay not to win an animal), Moving the every-other-year Tag Sale to the Common, Pizza Night.
Favorites were the Raffle and Dinner, the Fair/Carnival, Karaoke Night, Family Photos, Date Night, and the Cook Book.
Action Plan:
- Dan will look into the idea of a Cook Book
- Debbie will look into the possibility of a Date Night/ Child Care night, and will write a message for the MEMO looking for Volunteers
- Ian or Debbie will look into Family Photos
Funding for Child Care for the SPED-PAC meeting at Mark’s Meadow was approved.
Funding for a Second Grade Field Trip to the Eric Carle Museum was approved outside of meeting when a request was received from the teacher, and reviewed by several PGG members, with the request that families contribute to the cost as they are able to.
For the Next Meeting (November 7th):
- the possibility of PGG becoming a 501 c3 (an official nonprofit group status)
- complete assignment/timeline for fundraising activities
- review guidelines for making funding requests
