Sharon will arrange calls to 6th grade families to ask for Volunteers. Patty O’Brien will meet with Volunteers to go over the process of developing the Yearbook.

Usborne Book Fair: Raised $500. People liked that it was Book centered (rather than lots of pens/pencils/erasers), was organized and run by Usborne Staff with Jenny Fabrizi, and the Ice Cream Social went well. Concerns raised were the Diversity of the books, lack of Popular Fiction, and the price of the books.

Atkins Farms: Tom Flittie spoke with Atkins about the possibility of having a card that families can show when shopping that will donate a percentage of the sale (5%) to Mark’s Meadow PGG. It was suggested that PGG have a future discussion on the type of groups we want to promote for fund raising, and develop guiding principles.

Science Night Survey: Alyssa will send out to the Teachers, is in the Planning Process.

After School Clubs for School: Money is available.

Room Parents: Survey to Teachers re what type of help they would like from parents. Collaborative efforts, orientation meetings with parents. If volunteering in classroom need to have guiding principles (for example confidentiality). Teachers are interested in having room parents.

Nick (Principal's report)- SGC Discussion on Visiting Policy, currently don’t have a formal policy, “Open Door” informal policy, however the Teachers may let families know if it is not a good time for visiting. SGC looking at the size of the school and classroom configurations. November 29th will be the Community Breakfast in honor of (former guidance counselor) Robin Konovitch, with a play put on by the Staff. $400 PGG funds was approved to cover costs.

Multi Cultural Fair: Diane Travis (art teacher) will work on this, need a committee to help.

Future agenda: Look at ways for families to get to know each other in the class.
