Treasurers Report: (Dan Kramer) Account Balance is $7,720
Principal’s Update: 3rd –6th MCAS testing is finished. Next years class configuration planning is starting, Joan MacDonald and Sharon Edwards will be retiring. Diane Travis has obtained an Art Grant for the Tile Installation Project, there will be a Family Art Night on May 10th. The last day of school will be (Thursday) June 22nd, with a 1:20 dismissal.
Family Involvement: Alyssa Melnick has obtained an AAEA (Amherst Area Education Alliance) Grant to develop the Volunteer Program at Marks Meadow and increase family involvement. Thank You to all who have responded to requests for Family Participation in Planning and Running the various activities at school!
SGC: Monitoring the School Improvement Plan, looking at how things are for new families at Mark’s Meadow, home school communication and goal setting.
Multicultural Night: Positive feedback about the Night, which was run by a very active group of Parents, coordinated by Diane Travis.
Year Book: Larry Newman is collecting photos, especially needed are photos of classroom activities.
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon: Funding was approved to cover costs for this event, which will be Wednesday June 14th at the (Immanuel) Lutheran Church Hall (next to Mark's Meadow).
Tag Sale: Parent Volunteers to be contacted to set a date.
6th Grade Brunch: Debbie will coordinate if not other Volunteers to do so. (Monday) June 19th from 8:30 to 10.
End of the Year Picnic: (Wednesday) June 21st, Bring a Picnic for your family, Drinks will be provided, celebrate the end of school and the beginning of summer! Debbie will coordinate this with other parent Volunteers.
