Today I spent most of the day in the car driving to and from Pittsfield. Allan Boschen gave $$$ (matched by G.E.) to establish a small ($10k) endowment at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. He asked me to serve as a trustee on the committee that decides how to spend the proceeds. This was the first meeting. We mainly discussed various ways to make students aware of the opportunity to learn Esperanto and what Esperanto could do for them. I agreed to look up URLs for more information about Esperanto. I also suggested setting up their nascent Esperanto course as an eLearning course.

I used to love a chance to get out and spend most of the day driving, but I don't anymore. "The farther you drive the less intelligent you become" as they said in Repo Man. I could feel myself losing brain cells the whole way. Still, with the sunroof and the wind in my hair, it was pretty nice. The scenery is pretty up in the Berkshires. What would be really nice would be a way to take the train: a train with a wireless network connection. Yeah!
