It was a busy weekend with my Dad and his wife visiting. Even before they arrived, on Friday afternoon, I had friends over to sample the batch of homebrew I had made. The homebrew turned out quite well and it was fun to share it with friends. Five gallons of beer is more than I would normally drink in a year, so it's good to have some help. I had assumed the train would be late and it would be no conflict to have friends over before Pop arrived. We called a few times to check on the train and at first, they said the train would be 45 minutes late. But then they said it would be on time. Alisa took the boys down to get them while I finished up with my friends and homebrew. As it turned out, they train was even early. Pop called and was bemused to find me at home. I assured him that Alisa was on the way to pick him up. Because it was rainy, and traffic was heavy, they were so late getting back that Alisa had to take Charlie directly to swim practice before dropping off Richard and Katy. Lucy and I drove over to the hotel to pick up Richard and Katy and took them out to dinner. We tried Bertuccis, because it's close, but it was too busy, so we went to Bub's.
