Today I went to a local haiku group meeting. I don't go very often given my other obligations, but I rather like to go. It's a nice group of friendly people -- about 15 came today. I was the only man in attendance and was probably the youngest attendee as well, by a dozen years or so. I read two haiku -- in Esperanto -- and translated them into English for the listeners.

I'm a little rattled now because another pipe has started leaking in the basement. I say, "another pipe", but it's the same pipe has leaked before. I tried to get the plumbers to replace the section of pipe once before, but they wouldn't. Its very clear now that its just a defective pipe. Right now it's leaking in about 4 places. We'll look for another plumber and see if we can find one that will. It's amazing hard to find good tradespeople around here. People seem to hoard them. All of the good people seem to have enough business. I've done a little bit of plumbing before and I have to admit that its one trade that I don't really want to try to do myself. Even in shop class, I was never very good at brazing.
