Yesterday there was a blizzard. Not just a little blizzard either, but a huge monkey-spanking blizzard. We have two feet of new snow on top of the two feet of snow that was already there. The University closed for the day, which is about how long its going to take to get the driveway cleared, I think. Hopefully I'll have enough time for a bit more writing later.
I found out last night that the Data Aggregation paper that Buzz and Tom and I wrote is finally going to press. Since I finally had the bibliographic information, I updated my faculty page with the new info.
Reading the Woman who Loves Insects inspired me to write a couple of anti-war haiku.

I'm continuing my exploration of other blogs. I found Required Reading which look at StuffSteveReads and suggested a bunch of stuff I'm not reading, but might like. One of the blogs there linked to a project at national philistine that shows snapshots of "ordinary" Iraqis from Baghdad: moms, dads, kids, and grandparents smiling, laughing, and mugging for the camera. People you might meet in your office or on the street. Ordinary people. People who might be you. People who are about to die because our country will fire hundreds of cruise missiles into their city.
