Wouldn't it be great if this were the pebble that started an avalanche? Now if the emperor would just look down...

I probably written more this year than any year since I finished my dissertation. I've been thinking a lot about the writing process lately, so I checked out a couple of books from the library on writing. One is Writing to Learn, a relatively famous book about the origin of the Writing Across the Curriculum movement. It was published in 1988 and seems just a little dated. All good stuff, but not much that seems new to me (so far -- I'm only about half done). The other book is A Dangerous Profession by Frederick Busch.

Joseph Duemer mentioned StuffSteveReads in his blog Reading and Writing. I had checked the referrer log and saw a dozen hits (more or less) from there, so I tracked down what he said. I'm pleased he liked the link to the woman who likes bugs.
