I made some changes in the BCRC to make Hydra usable. Basically, I added a plist that does context coloring for php and html. I set up preferences that uses that file by default and sets the default window size to something meaningful. I also made a hole in the firewall for port 30729, so that the lab computers can share out documents. I'm planning to demo it for faculty on Wednesday as part of the BCRC Open House. Hydra is to synchronous collaborative writing what wikis are to asynchronous collaborative writing.

I've pretty much decided to attend the E@I Seminario. I need to meet with Buzz ahead of time and sketch out the project ideas we discussed a week ago.

The battle continues. The US forces have nearly cleared the southern bridge, but there are still a couple of infantry units hanging on. The tanks have rushed ahead to try to retake the second bridge. Losses have been high enough, that it doesn't look likely that there will be enough forces left to clear the final bridge. There could still be a miracle.
