Today I reflected on the irony of George W. Bush bringing democracy to the world. The likelihood
that the president who wasn't elected could establish a fair system of government anywhere else seems very
small. It would be like a vegan fixing jumbalaya: you're going to pretty suspicious when you
get a steaming bowl of that in front of you. (This may seem an unfair comparison, until you
remember that Hitler was a vegetarian too.) Now, if Steve Jobs
were to fix Jambalaya, he could convince you to eat it and you
wouldn't suspect a thing until you started to burp. "I was sure those
were crawdads!" you'd think to yourself. "My God! What were those things!"
