A busy morning. Lucy and I bottled beer, with a little help. This afternoon I have the haiku reading. In the meantime, there's just enough time to walk the dog. Poor Plato just doesn't understand weekends.

It was rainy this morning -- we got wet enough walking Plato that he was ready to get back in the car when we got back. When I went to the haiku reading the weather was still gloomy, but when I came out the sun had come out, the sky was blue, and it was a glorious afternoon. I came home and immediately forced the children to put on their shoes, we walked Plato over to the school, and we all played on the playground. Afterwards, Charlie encouraged me to get our bikes out and go for a bike ride. I grumbled and delayed, but we eventually went for a nice first ride of the year. I think I'll start riding my bike to work and home for lunch. If I do that, I'll be able to ride a respectable amount in short order.
