I'm writing this from the Science Museum in Boston. The Seminario doesn't really begin until this evening (or maybe tomorrow -- the schedule wasn't clear). I spent the day with the family at the Museum. Lots of interesting stuff. There is a sense of optimism from museums that one rarely gets from talking to actual scientists. Museums present the face of science that says, "We can solve every problem." I'm just a little too jaded to take it all in with a straight face. Its interesting to me how computers have taken over museums. Most kids (and a lot of adults) would rather play with the animated game on the computer about something than actually look at the historical things on display. (Of course, here I sit writing something in my journal...)
