I've spent a while this morning trying to use my Tungsten for useful stuff. I tried to edit the access file for sendmail so I could send mail. It turns out that editing files is hard. I'm pretty sure I have a termcap entry, but evidently it's not sufficient for pico. I tried using ed, but I'm not quite competent. (Just a few tweaks and sending mail now works -- in the house, anyway. I don't do relaying for any addresses outside the house.) I'm pleased to see how much more functional my journal is than most others using the Tungsten -- few fixed widths, so text wraps much more legibly. Phil points out that his journal should be readable too and it is.
We've come to the Dakin Animal Shelter again. Every year they have festival with an agility contest. Plato won't navigate all of the obstables, but it's still fun to have him enter. We arrived late, so we're so far down the list we may not get home with time to take a nap before skating. When I was in Spain, I became enamoured with having a schedule that could support afternoon naps. I live for my naps on the weekend.
Plato had a wonderful time sniffing other dogs and getting attention from eager fans. Plato is convinced that you'll love him, if you'll only let him lick your face. He got to lick lots of people's faces today.
Just a brief nap update: luckily there was still time for a short nap.
