I wrote a story yesterday. Over the weekend, I came up with an idea for a story and told it to Philip and Lucy. Philip agreed to listen only under the condition that telling it would not prevent me from writing the story. Yesterday, I was compelled to write it. I finished it around 9:30 last night, sent it to Phil in email, and printed out a copy for Lucy. Alisa read it this morning. It's flawed, though I think its my best fiction to date. Alisa had a few good comments about some of the off-key notes. I'll let it sit for a bit and then maybe rewrite it a bit.

Over the weekend, I read When Dragons Rage by Michael Stackpole. I liked it enough that I went back to the library and found another book from the series (or, actually, a prequel to the series). They don't seem to have Fortress Draconis which is the previous book in the series and the last book isn't due out until December. Harumph! I'll see if I can get Alisa to check the book stores around here to see if anyone has it used. I checked Spacecrime using AIM already.
