Organized at the last minute, we spent a family weekend get-away at the Cape Codder Resort. We first visited there several years ago when Alisa attended a conference. After looking at potential weekends during Intersession, we realized last week that this weekend would be the best chance to get away. So we did.
The biggest attraction was the wave pool. The last time, Daniel was 3 and required constant monitoring. This time, it was not as much work, though still required significant vigilance. Last time, I was The Lone Parent while Alisa attended meetings. This time, she bore the brunt of the work. I actually didn't even spend that much time down there -- I read books, sometimes in the lobby, in front of the stately fireplace, but sometimes just hidden away in the room.
It was good to get away.
