I noticed today that Dean is bringing attention to the fact that Clark is a Republican. Good! And Braun is dropping out and backing Dean -- I didn't think she was a serious contender to be President, but I liked what she said and I still think she'd be a good choice for running mate.
Well, the course resources are set up for the spring and half the machines in the BCRC have been updated to OS 10.3. Intersession is going well. Randy and I are getting ready to give a talk at Quinnipiac University on the 20th and, after that, I should have a week to focus on getting ready to teach writing again. While working on other stuff, I'm also poking at the recalcitrant, haunted workstation: bcrc20. There's something wrong with it, but it passes all the hardware tests. The last time I took it in under warranty, they claimed there was nothing wrong and charged us a diagnostic fee. Very frustrating.
I noticed in the Register a link to get these t-shirts. They're not BAD URL -- remove all of <, >, ", but what is?
We're still maintaining our low-carb diet. I'm pleased with the progress so far. The progress is slow, but it is relatively steady. And there's no question but that I feel a lot better since starting it. While we were gone for the weekend, it was harder to follow the diet -- it's hard to find satisfactory food at restaurants. But we stayed pretty close to the target and have careful since getting back (with the exception of going to the pizza buffet the day after we got back -- pizza is the one thing that I have really missed on a low-carb diet.)
