Today was another crazy day at work. It was a day where it felt like I was constantly fixing one problem while listening to the next problem with two other people waiting in line. The day started off well -- Lucy and I went to the fitness club and we enjoyed our usual breakfast at Kelly's. The morning problems included an appleshare volume where the files wouldn't show up, group ownership issues in a web volume, and various student methods project woes. One problem turned out to be easy -- a faculty member had 150 tiff images to be used as frames in a movie. I showed how ImageJ could read in the images as a stack and then save it as an AVI. Problem solved! At lunch, I walked home and then rode my bike back to work. In the afternoon, I met with our office manager and, once again, was struck by what a find she was for the department. She's always impressed me as a great listener who can always think things through very clearly. I was grateful for that again today. Riding home today, I felt increasingly comfortable on the bike. I'm hoping that this weekend the weather will permit some longer rides -- maybe to the bike trail. Just two more days until the weekend!
