What an exhausting day! Lucy and I exercised, I had meetings at 9:00, 10:30, 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30. In between, I tried to get loose ends wrapped up before I take off for spring break. I tracked down a projector that hadn't been returned. I worked on the CSL proposal. I installed some new proscopes in the intro labs and added the software and extensions into the revrdist masterfolder. I taught a faculty member how to use the BCRC course resources. I helped reboot a geosciences server. I figured out that the OEB projector wasn't working because the cable was bad, so I tracked down the vendor and got a quote on a couple of new cables. I helped modify the httpd.conf on my server for someone. But finally, at the end of the day, I felt good about leaving with most of the loose ends tied up.

My "meeting" at 3:30 was fun: Tom and I used isights and ichat to do a video conference to talk about the talk we're giving in a week at Nercomp. Most of the talk is terrain that is familiar to all of us, but since I'm going to be gone next week, it seemed like it was a good idea to sort out who's going to talk about what. We're planning to ichat again this week while I'm away to make sure we're all on the same page. But it still wouldn't tell us what its got in its pocketses, precious!

I'm really glad to be getting away from work for a week. Lately, I feel like I'm trying to keep track of too much stuff. It will be nice to put it down for a week and just do something else. It's fun driving that way because the roads aren't insanely crowded, like when you drive south through New York and Washington.

Alisa is letting us borrow her MP3 CD-player, so tonight I'm going to rip a bunch of CDs I haven't gotten around to before to build some nice mp3 CDs to play on the road. I also just ripped the new Norah Jones CD which Alisa just bought for us. (Sorry for the flash site, but if you were using flashclick, I wouldn't feel the need to appologize. :-)
