The movie night was fun. There were only a few of us, but it was fun to share Lilo & Stitch with some folks who'd never seen it before. It always suprises people who are astonished at how badly Disney marketed the movie.

Today was busy. in the morning the boys competed in the local skating competition. Daniel took a silver medal, but Charlie didn't place (partly due to his refusal to practice seriously, but also partly due to fierce competition.)

This afternoon, I attended the ESNA Jarkunveno. I hadn't received the announcement about it until a half-hour before the meeting but, given that I'm the presumptive new president (the votes haven't been counted, but I'm the only candidate) it seemed necessary that I go.

Due to the late notice, there were only two other people at the meeting and we didn't really accomplish any business. I did lay out my vision for the organization and my stategy for getting there. It will take a miracle to turn ESNE around, but I think there is a chance now. My next step is to write up my vision as an article to pass around. Once I'm actually installed, I'll need to reach out to the activists who've been alienated by ESNA's previous leadership and see if I can get them on board with my plan. But if my plan succeeds, we might actually be able to build a functional organization for the region. It could happen.

Unfortunately all that meant I didn't get my long ride in today like I'd hoped. I could have still taken a short ride, but then Phil called to suggest StarCraft. Unfortunately, tomorrow looks bad for riding with rain in the forecast all day. Sigh... But I just can't resist a good game of StarCraft.
