We had a quiet, stay-at-home Thanksgiving celebration. We used to go visit relatives, when they lived in Maryland (which was fun, although driving was an ordeal), but since they've moved to North Carolina, we don't try. So we just stayed home. We had a turkey with all the fixings and I had a quiet weekend playing with the boys.
On Friday, I got the bong letter from CIES that rejected my Fulbright application. Sigh... It's disappointing, but there is a silver lining in that at least I don't have to run around and get everything organized to go to Germany. Still a part of me feels like George in UHF
Hey, kids. Where y'wanna go?...That's right. To Uncle Nutzy's Clubhouse. And boy-oh-boy, are we gonna have big fun today. We're gonna have so much fun, we'll forget about how miserable we are, and how much life sucks, and how we're all gonna grow old and die someday.
