Today was the local Democratic caucus. I went early and helped with registration. I was nominated but declined to be a delegate to the convention. I did it last year. It was interesting and I learned a lot, but I don't think I need to attend another issues convention this year. Sometime I'd like to attend a nominating committee, though.
Alisa has an opponent in her school committee race. There was an article about him in today's paper. Unfortunately, although there is an online edition, they now restrict access to the articles, so I can't provide a link. The essence is that the guy is also involved in the pro-charter campaign in Amherst and sent out 2000 postcards promoting the charter. The postcards, however violated state law by not providing the name and address of the sender or the names of the officers and included the town seal without permission.
