Interesting comments about the 
Starbucks Delocator as a web 1.0 vs web 2.0 issue. I agreed with most of what he said (and probably could have come up with half of it myself), but I never seem to have enough time to think about things so clearly.
I'm not sure if this is a "women are from venus" thing or a "boys go to jupiter" thing, but I'm struck by the difference in styles between the ways Alisa and I use our cell phones. She doesn't call, but sends me voice mails (which arrive in the background and I only find out about when I open my phone for something). I reply using text messages (which cause the phone to notify you (although I suppose that's configurable)). Or, better yet, I craft an email and send it to her via the vtext gateway (so I don't have to do the multitap text entry). This is all going to take a while to get used to.
