Another posting from the Kongreso
La estrara kunsido komencis ĉimatene je la 8-a horo. Ne ĉiuj sukcesis trovi kafon antaŭ la kunsido. Bonŝance mi havas bonan matenmanĝon ĉe la Starz Kafejo. Oni devas kruci la teroriga ŝoseo apud la universitato por atingi ĝin. Estas signaloj por piedirantoj, sed unu el la butonoj por aktivigi ilin estas rompita, do por tiu strato oni devas rigardi zorge kaj kuri. Ili havis eĉ Atkins-pladon, kiun mi aĉetis. Tre bongusta.
Mi kunportis komputilon al la kunsido kaj, pro tio ke la sekretario ne venis, oni volontulis ke mi registru la protokolon. Ve.
I don't mean to make my journal purely a recitation of the places I went to eat, but I have to mention 
Texas French Bread, the sandwich place a few of us went for lunch. I ordered a half of a turkey sandwich with a cup of tortilla soup. The soup was good, but the sandwich was incredible. It wasn't fancy -- just turkey on whole-wheat with lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, and onions -- but it was delicious: everything was perfect. I've had sandwiches that were more interesting or unusual, but I'm not sure I've ever had a better sandwich. UPDATE: It had pickles too -- maybe that's what made the difference.
