This morning the Esperanto meetings wrapped up. Among other things, we chose a new name for the organization. It has been ISE for Internacia Semajnfino Esperantista, but I like the new name better. It will now be ARE for Aŭtuna Renkontiĝo Esperantista. ARE is also a word in Esperanto: it means "grouply" or "in a group" or something to that effect. I actually wrote about this back in June when it looked like the name had changed prior to the meeting this year. I'm glad we've actually made the change.

We took the group photo this morning -- for perhaps the first time, I think I actually got everyone in the picture.

It was a little sad leaving Ludlow this morning and thinking about the fact that we probably won't be back. But not that sad -- this morning in the restaurant we heard a woman asking two patrons if they were for Bush and espousing pleasure when they said they were. I nearly lost my appetite.

I was excited to think about going to the meeting next year, when I realized that, if things go according to plan, I'll be in Germany next year. I guess that will have its amenities too. And who knows? I haven't gotten the award yet.

Lucy and I got back home in good order and I'm getting caught up on stuff at home. Back to work tomorrow, but just for a day. On Wednesday, Tom and I are supposed to head out to Crawfordsville for our ACUBE presentations.
